Applied Clinical Research Program

Applied Clinical Research Program

The Applied Clinical Research Program (ACRP) is housed in the Department of Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School. The objectives of the Applied Clinical Research Program are to support the conduct of clinical research in the broad areas of clinical epidemiology, outcomes, implementation, health services delivery and translation. The Program will help support a broad range of methodological initiatives including clinical trials, and observational and qualitative studies. Physician-Scientist Training Program (PSTP)

For applicants committed to rigorous research training in clinical and basic investigation, the Physician-Scientist Training Program (PSTP) offers combined research-intensive residency and subspecialty fellowship training. Designed to meet all American Board of Internal Medicine Research Pathway requirements for board certification, the PSTP offers the option of two years of clinical training (short track) as an Internal Medicine resident followed by in-depth training in research or by combined research and clinical training in the subspecialty fellowship of the applicant's choice.
