Medicine Interests and Plans after Residency: Right now I am interested in gastroenterology. Rheumatology is in the running these days as well. Time will tell. I think that I would enjoy being a clinician-educator.

Why did you decide to come to the U of M Residency Program? The U of M is a great academic program with a rich history, it puts forth a truly meaningful effort to respect resident wellness and protect life outside of the hospital, the 4+4/50-50 schedule is a game changer and maintains work-life balance, it has a very strong gastroenterology department, the Twin Cities are a wonderful place to live, and Minneapolis is super close to my wife's lake house!

What do you enjoy most about the program? Easy answer; the people. The chiefs, senior residents, co-interns, staff, and administration are all incredible. It truly is a community. After that, I would have to say the diversity of the three training sites.
