About Me: I am continuously in awe by the power and complexity of the immune system which is why Rheumatology is so interesting to me. My favorite thing about Rheumatology is Rheumatoid Arthritis. I like it so much because it is a disease process that you can touch, see and test with awesome clarity. I grew up in Minnesota going to school with Joe Mauer. After imparting all the baseball and football wisdom I had to offer to him, we parted ways in life. I went to the University of Minnesota and he went on to an organization known as the Twins. In between my academic pursuits, I picked up cooking, managing a family restaurant, sports, traveling and photography. I like to be outdoors hiking someplace with a waterfall at the end. Being extraordinarily short, I like to compensate by lifting weights often. Additionally, because I break showers heads by singing to them, I love to attend concerts with friends. Otherwise, I love to catch the latest action movie that does not have Sandra Bullock and actively practice for competitive origami.
