Viral has interests in medical education and critical care. He will be participating in a research project this upcoming year involving our nephrology curriculum. He is a native of the Baltimore/D.C. area but is enjoying his time as a new Minnesotan. Other interests include making art, everything involving sports (particularly tennis), and serenading his infant daughter with his guitar.

Max is chief fellow for the 2016-2017 academic year. He is completing a masters in clinical research in addition to his clinical training, partially supported by an institutional NIH T32 training grant. His research interests include cardiovascular disease in dialysis patients, dialyzability of cardioprotective medications, and acute kidney injury. He has submitted two abstracts for the American Society of Nephrology conference and will present in Chicago in November, 2016. Other interests include running, cross country skiing, and spending quality time at the cabin and with his wife and young daughter.
