Our patients have the option to participate in the many ongoing clinical trials for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and other interstitial lung diseases. We also have a comprehensive ILD Database that is expanding and used in many of our clinical trials.
Pulmonary Fibrosis Basic Research
Our long term clinical research programs we have been running are: reparative growth, tissue engineering, development of new tests for diagnosis, advances in lung transplantation, and molecular pathways in the IPF airspace. New research programs and clinical studies are underway on a continual basis. The Center has developed an Interstitial Lung Disease Database that we use in many of the clinical trials.

IPF biomarkers project lead by Dr. Maneesh Bhargava, is a research and education foundation set up to increase the public awareness of Sarcoidosis. The University of Minnesota Center for Lung Science and Health is world-renowned for its care for individuals with interstitial Lung Disease such as Sarcoid and seeks to continue to expand research in ILD specifically targeting Sarcoidosis.
