Biography Summary

Dr. Santiago Garcia completed medical school at the University of Buenos Aires and his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at the University of Miami in Florida. After that, he completed a Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship and an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Minnesota. While in fellowship, Dr. Garcia served as an Instructor of Medicine at the U of M as well. Since completing his fellowship, Dr. Garcia has served as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the U of M; a staff Interventional Cardiologist at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Hennepin County Medical Center, and Methodist Hospital; and Director of the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) Program at the VA Medical Center. Dr. Garcia has also been heavily involved in training Cardiovascular and Interventional Cardiology fellows.
