The University of Minnesota has a long history of providing exceptional care for patients with pulmonary hypertension, a type of high blood pressure that affects the arteries carrying blood from the heart to the lungs. Our program is one of only 36 in the United States to be accredited by the Pulmonary Hypertension Association [insert PHA logo]. Our superb standard of care enables us to meet the rigorous quality and performance standards of this association, which results in extraordinary care for our patients.
As a global leader in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary hypertension, we offer comprehensive cardiovascular care for patients 18 and older who require ongoing evaluation and treatment for various kinds of pulmonary hypertension and right heart failure. Our multidisciplinary team includes cardiologists, clinical care coordinators, a nurse practitioner and a program coordinator. We partner with other specialists including pulmonologists, rheumatologists, hepatologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and primary care providers who are involved in the care of these patients, many of whom have complex medical conditions.
