Summary

My clinical and research focus is in bleeding and clotting disorders, with a particular interest in acquired Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP). I am the co-founder and co-leader of a multicenter clinical and translational research consortium for the study of acquired TTP and other thrombotic microangiopathies (TMAs) in the United States called the US Thrombotic Microangiopathy (USTMA) Consortium, which encompasses 13 large referral centers. The purpose of the USTMA Research Consortium is to conduct large-scale research projects in these rare diseases to ultimately improve patient outcomes.
