Summary

Dr. Erhan Dincer’s main clinical interest is Interventional Pulmonology (IP). After he joined the University of Minnesota Medical School faculty in 2011, he developed the Lung Nodule Program and, one year later, the multidisciplinary IP Program in collaboration with Thoracic Surgery, Interventional Radiology and Medical Oncology.

The IP program currently has multiple clinics and is a referral center for patients from MN and neighboring states. Dr. Dincer is a nationally recognized expert in minimally invasive procedures in diagnosing and treating lung diseases. While developing the clinical IP Program, he established the IP fellowship training program that is accredited by the American Association of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (AABIP) and is one of only 42 programs in North America. He teaches fellows in the broad spectrum of Interventional Pulmonology. Dr. Dincer directs the fellowship IP program as well as the IP and general bronchoscopy services at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. He collaborates with other institutions in multicenter studies, serves as a reviewer and editor for scientific journals and has numerous publications. Besides his interest in IP, he is also board certified in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.
