The Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension’s core missions are to provide comprehensive medical care for patients with kidney disease or hypertension, to perform cutting edge research into the causes and treatment of kidney disease, and to educate physicians in the care of patient with kidney disease.
Faculty, Staff, and Student Highlights
Eight junior faculty investigators from the Medical School have been accepted into career development programs from the Clinical and Translational Science Institute. As CTSI scholars, the following investigators will receive mentorship, training, and funds to help advance their research careers and compete for federal grants: Melena Bellin, MD, Pediatrics; Maneesh Bhargava, MD, Medicine; Kathryn Cullen, MD, Psychiatry; Paul Drawz, MD, Medicine; Xiufeng Li, PhD, Radiology; Ann Parr, MD, PhD, Neurosurgery; Rebecca Shlafer, PhD, Pediatrics; Guisheng Song, PhD, Medicine.
