Board of Regents policy states: "The University expects ongoing evaluation of employee performance, with regularly conducted and documented reviews of all employees administered according to applicable administrative policies, rules, and collective bargaining agreements."

The Department of Medicine will be using the new online tool. The performance appraisal is an important step in employee development and retention. It provides an opportunity to recognize an individual’s achievements, discuss areas for improvement, align expectations, establish priorities, and assist in enhancing two‐way feedback between employees and supervisors.

The web‐based PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL TOOL (PAT) will be used for Civil Service (CS) and Bargaining Unit (BU) employees this year.
