Global Health Medicine is committed to excellence in teaching, clinical care and research that improves the health of individuals and communities globally. We provide educational opportunities for health care trainees, practicing providers, and community members.

For Practicing Providers

Global Health Medicine offers a wide range of topics and courses in global health and tropical and travel medicine to practicing healthcare providers. The courses are designed to increase knowledge and skills in serving a globally mobile population. Courses are offered online and in-person to meet the needs of all global health interests. For Current & Prospective Residents

The Global Health Pathway is one of several tracks open to residents and fellows in internal medicine, medicine-pediatrics, and medicine-dermatology at the University of Minnesota. Richly varied options for service to local immigrant and refugee communities, global health mentorship, international clinical rotations, and access to our renowned Global Health Course make the Pathway an outstanding preparatory experience for a career in global health.
